Responsibilities
Kforce has a client that is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk in Tampa, FL. Duties:
- Responsible for processing high-volume vendor invoices accurately and on time
- Match invoices with purchase orders, freight bills, receiving documents, and supporting paperwork while ensuring proper GL coding
- Accounts Payable Clerk will process weekly check runs, ACH, wire transfers, and other payment methods
- Reconcile vendor statements, resolve discrepancies, respond to vendor inquiries, maintain AP records, and monitor aging reports to ensure timely payments
- Support month-end close through accruals and account reconciliations and assist with audits by providing required documentation
- Review freight, fuel, carrier, warehouse, maintenance, and logistics-related invoices for accuracy
- As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will partner with Operations, Dispatch, Procurement, and Finance to resolve invoice issues, maintain compliance with company policies and internal controls, and support AP process improvements
- Perform additional accounting and administrative duties as needed
- 1-3 years of Accounts Payable, Accounting Clerk, or Bookkeeping experience
- High-volume invoice processing experience preferred
- Transportation, logistics, trucking, warehousing, or supply chain experience is a plus
- Strong understanding of AP principles and general accounting practices
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP/accounting systems
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, communication, and time management
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of freight billing and transportation charges is preferred
- Accurate, timely invoice processing

- Successful month‑end close support
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
