Interim Payroll Lead

We are seeking an experienced Interim Payroll Lead to support a growing payroll team during a critical business period. This is a high‑impact contract opportunity focused on complex payroll operations, issue resolution, payroll analysis, and process oversight within a large‑scale payroll environment.

3‑6 month long project. Hybrid schedule.

Salary: $45–$55 per hour

8 AM – 5 PM;

Education:

High School

• Lead and support complex U.S. payroll operations across multiple employee groups
• Process payroll within an ADP environment and troubleshoot payroll‑related issues
• Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies, ensuring accurate and timely processing
• Perform payroll reconciliations, variance analysis, and payroll controls
• Analyze large payroll datasets using Excel and reporting tools
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to resolve payroll issues
• Support payroll accounting activities, including GL reconciliations
• Assist with shadow payroll and global payroll processes
• Manage multiple priorities and drive payroll issues through resolution

• 5+ years of payroll experience in a high‑volume, complex environment
• Experience with ADP Workforce Now, ADP Vantage, ADP EV5/EV6, or similar ADP platforms
• Strong knowledge of payroll processing, payroll analysis, and issue resolution
• Experience performing payroll reconciliations and working with payroll‑related accounting functions
• Advanced Excel skills with the ability to analyze large datasets
• Experience working with Success Factors, SAP, UKG, Kronos, or similar HRIS/payroll systems preferred
