Tax Accountant

Job Description

Responsible for supporting indirect and direct tax compliance activities , including sales and use tax, property tax, business licenses, tax filings, research, and resolution of tax notices. The role involves coordinating with third‑party tax advisors, preparing tax documentation, assisting with federal and state tax compliance, and ensuring accurate, timely, and well‑organized deliverables.

• Manage indirect tax compliance (sales/use tax, property tax, business licenses).
• Prepare and support tax filings, registrations, and compliance documents.
• Assist with federal and state income tax work papers, estimates, and extensions.
• Conduct tax research and support tax notice resolution.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external tax advisors.
• Maintain accurate documentation and organized tax records.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• 1–2 years of public accounting or corporate tax experience preferred.
• Knowledge of tax compliance and research processes.
• Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.

• Microsoft Dynamics AX or similar ERP systems.
• Corp Tax, BNA Tax Research, One Stream, or related tax software.
• Experience with sales/use tax and indirect tax compliance.
