Staff Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant for a growing private equity-backed real estate and property management company who values collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement as they continue to scale operations. The Staff Accountant will support the day-to-day accounting operations of the company. This role will assist with general accounting functions, cash activity, invoice processing, and monthly close support across multiple entities and properties.

The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and eager to grow within a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and record daily cash entries and bank transactions
• Assist with account reconciliations and monthly close activities
• Code and process invoices in accordance with company procedures
• Support corporate expense allocations across multiple entities and properties
• Maintain accurate general ledger records and supporting documentation
• Assist with accounts payable and other general accounting functions
• Review transactions for accuracy and proper coding
• Help prepare financial reports and schedules as needed
• Collaborate with accounting and operations teams on various projects and requests
• Support audits and other ad hoc accounting tasks as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
• 1+ years of accounting experience required
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Real estate or property management experience is a plus, but not required
