As our Client Accounting Services (CAS) Manager, you will lead the firm's accounting and bookkeeping department while helping clients build stronger businesses through accurate financial reporting and proactive communication.
What You'll Do- Lead and manage the firm's Client Accounting Services (CAS) department.
- Review monthly accounting, reconciliations, and financial statements for accuracy and completeness.
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting engagements for a diverse client base.
- Develop, mentor, and train accounting staff while establishing consistent quality standards.
- Improve workflows, documentation, and internal processes to increase efficiency and scalability.
- Communicate directly with business owners to explain financial results, answer questions, and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Assist clients with cash flow analysis, budgeting, financial reporting, and operational insights.
- Coordinate with the tax department to ensure complete and accurate financial information throughout the year.
- Manage client expectations and maintain responsive communication (24-48 hour turnaround on emails).
- Help expand and improve the firm's growing advisory services.
- Bachelor's or master's in accounting from an accredited college or university.
- CPA or EA is a plus but not required.
- 5+ years of bookkeeping, accounting, or Client Accounting Services experience.
- Public accounting or CAS experience strongly preferred.
- Extensive Quick Books Online experience required.
- Experience reviewing financial statements and supervising accounting staff.
- Strong understanding of month-end close, reconciliations, payroll, sales tax, and financial reporting.
- Experience working with multiple business entities and industries.
- Excellent organizational, leadership, and client communication skills.
