Staff Accountant

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Staff Accountant in Tampa, FL.

Duties:

* Staff Accountant will perform general ledger accounting activities, including journal entries, accruals, amortizations, and reconciliations

* Support and maintain accounting processes across:
Inventory accounting

* Prepare and post accruals and maintain related schedules

* Manage and reconcile a variety of accounts, including accrual schedules and subledgers, ensuring accurate reconciliation to the general ledger

* Perform balance sheet and account reconciliations

* As a Staff Accountant, you will support fixed asset accounting and related schedules

* Assist with month-end close activities and ongoing financial reporting needs
* Experience with intercompany accountant

* Experience managing multiple responsibilities with minimal supervision

* Strong understanding of accrual accounting and general ledger maintenance

* Demonstrated ability to work independently and proactively in a dynamic environment

* Willingness to commit additional hours initially, with the expectation that workload will stabilize overtime

* Seeking a seasoned professional who is comfortable handling complex responsibilities without extensive training or hand-holding

* Multi-currency experience is a plus, including converting foreign currencies to USD
