Accounting Specialist

Numbers tell a story — and at Luxy 03 LLC, a Company belonging to Pettenon Cosmetics Group, we want someone who doesn't just record it, but understands it. We're looking for a sharp, detail-driven Accountant to join our Tampa team and own the day-to-day rhythm of payroll, AP, reconciliations, and reporting — while working closely with colleagues across the US and HQ to keep everything moving.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Process payroll twice monthly, including report booking, payroll recalculations, and reclasses when needed.
• Record distributor and AEI payments at least on a weekly basis, keeping cash application current and accurate.
• Perform bank reconciliations and ACH bookings, and review distributor accounts for discrepancies.
• Reconcile credit card activity monthly and resolve variances promptly.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, including GL review, accruals, and supporting schedules.
• Manage daily accounts payable, processing incoming bills and ensuring timely, accurate payment.
• Maintain and update the Chart of Accounts, ensuring it reflects the evolving needs of the business.
• Support the setup and ongoing management of Perform booking of sales tax accounts across multiple states and tax entries based on the information provided by the CPA
• Assist with 401(k) booking and related benefits administration tasks.
• Partner closely with our Italy-based team and US and CPA and colleagues to support periodic issues, resolve queries, research transactions, and keep communication efficient.
• Contribute to special projects as they arise — from open enrollment support to process improvements that free up time for higher-value work.

WHAT YOU BRING

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of hands-on accounting experience; mid-level proficiency across core accounting functions.
• Solid understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles.
• Proficiency with Quick Books (or similar accounting software - Knowledge of SAP will be considered a preferred qualification)
• Hands-on experience with payroll processing, AP/AR, and bank/credit card reconciliations.
• Sharp attention to detail and a genuine pride in accurate, well-organized work.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a high volume of recurring tasks and deadlines.
• Clear, professional communication skills — you'll regularly coordinate with international colleagues.
• A proactive, ownership-driven mindset coupled with a strong ability to work effectively in a team — you don't wait to be asked twice.

NICE TO HAVE

• CPA certification or active progress toward one.
• Experience supporting multi-entity or multi-state organizations.
• Familiarity with payroll-linked government reporting (e.g., loan/grant compliance programs) and 401(k) administration.
