About the Opportunity
Our client is a rapidly growing, project-based organization seeking an Accounting Specialist to join its finance and accounting team. This individual will play a key role supporting Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and broader accounting operations while helping improve and scale processes within a high-growth environment.
This opportunity offers significantly more responsibility than a traditional AP/AR role and is ideal for someone who wants to expand their accounting skillset while working closely with an experienced finance leadership team.
Responsibilities Accounts PayableProcess and manage vendor invoices
Coordinate invoice approvals and payment schedules
Maintain vendor records and supporting documentation
Assist with 1099 preparation and reporting
Reconcile vendor accounts and resolve discrepancies
Generate customer invoices and billing statements
Apply cash receipts and monitor collections activity
Reconcile customer accounts
Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies
Perform account reconciliations
Support month-end close activities
Maintain accounting records and documentation
Assist with reporting and audit support activities
Identify opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiencies
Support a growing transaction volume across multiple projects and business activities
3+ years of accounting, AP/AR, bookkeeping, or accounting operations experience
Strong understanding of full-cycle AP and AR processes
Experience performing reconciliations and resolving discrepancies
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Construction accounting experience
Project accounting experience
Real estate development or infrastructure experience
Experience with progress billing, construction draws, or project-related invoicing
ERP system experience (Workday a plus)
Experience in high-growth or entrepreneurial environments
