As our Controller, you will oversee all accounting and financial reporting activities while serving as a key business partner to the executive team.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Lead all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory accounting, fixed assets, and month-end close.
- Assure corporate income tax compliance to assure the accurate and timely completion of all corporate income tax returns taking full advantage of all favorable tax codes.
- Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
- Establish and maintain systems and controls that verify the integrity of all systems, processes and data, and enhance the company's value.
- Participate in a wide variety of special projects and compile a variety of special reports.
- Maintain or improve processes and controls associated with manufacturing costs and inventory valuation.
- Ensure validity and accuracy of ERP system through analysis, internal audit, and coordination with inventory control, production and work order processing.
- Assist in developing and documenting policies and procedures, including system requirements and internal controls.
- Insure that the accounting department achieves its monthly KPIs and assist other departments with timely information (both scheduled and on-demand) to help them achieve their own department KPIs
- Compare actual vs. plan (budget) analysis on a monthly basis. Prepare various financial analysis related to manufacturing costs, inventory, and expense information as needed for decision making support.
- Lead all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory accounting, fixed assets, and month-end close.
- Support Supply Chain, Operations, and Sales teams by delivering critical data in an accurate, timely fashion.
- Oversee inventory accounting and cost accounting.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team.
- Perform adhoc accounting duties as needed
- Accountability skills-proactively handle department activities and take ownership for outcomes and needed follow up.
- Operate with sense of urgency, ensuring departmental tasks completed efficiently and effectively.
- Proactive- look for opportunities to contribute, anticipate business needs and discuss ideas with management.
- Excellent analytical skills, help develop, measure, and report KPI’s.Ensure accuracy of team contributions.

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
- 5+ years of leadership experience managing accounting or finance teams.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
- Experience with in a Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), manufacturing, food & beverage, retail, or distribution environment.
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.
- Experience with ERP systems such as Net Suite, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar.
- CPA designation strongly preferred.
- Experience with inventory-intensive or manufacturing businesses preferred
- Strong cost accounting and supply chain finance experience preferred
- Working environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will generally work in an office environment. Some tasks may require working in a manufacturing environment where appropriate attire and safety equipment are required. - Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, employees are regularly required to sit, walk and stand; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands repetitively to finger, handle, feel or operate standard office equipment; reach with hands and arms; and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. - Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus.
