Assistant Controller

Global, private equity-backed manufacturer is hiring an Assistant Controller for a ~ 100M business unit in the Tampa area.

This is a hands-on role with broad responsibility across accounting, cost and inventory, project accounting, FP&A, internal controls, and operations. It could be an excellent lateral move or next step for a strong Accounting or Finance Manager (and higher) with the accounting foundation and manufacturing experience to take on broader BU-level responsibility.

• Broad BU-level responsibility with significant exposure to Operations and leadership

• Lead key aspects of month-end close, financial reporting, and reconciliations
• Oversee cost accounting, inventory, and manufacturing variance analysis
• Support project accounting and revenue recognition
• Partner with Operations and project leaders on margins, project performance, KPIs, and cost improvement
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
• Maintain internal controls and support SOX compliance and audits
• Drive process improvement across Finance and Operations

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 8+ years of accounting/finance experience within manufacturing
• WIP/project accounting or percentage-of-completion experience preferred
• Public company or combination of public accounting/private company experience preferred
