Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities.
- Prepare and review complex journal entries and general ledger transactions.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and maintain account integrity.
- Prepare consolidated financial statements and management reporting.
- Support technical accounting for areas such as pensions, environmental/PBO accounting, stock compensation, derivatives, and other complex accounting matters.
- Assist with external audits, SOX compliance, and internal control testing.
- Prepare financial analyses and ad hoc reporting for leadership.
- Maintain and support SAP ERP financial reporting processes.
- Research accounting guidance (IFRS and U.S. GAAP) and recommend appropriate accounting treatments.
- Partner with plant and corporate accounting teams to resolve accounting issues and improve financial processes.
- Identify opportunities for continuous process improvements and increased efficiency.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 3-5+ years of progressive corporate accounting experience.
- Strong experience with:
- General Ledger accounting
- Month-end close
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Financial consolidations
- Complex journal entries
- Financial reporting and analysis
- Experience working within SAP ECC.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of internal controls and SOX compliance.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
- CPA designation.
- Manufacturing industry experience.
- Experience with IFRS reporting.
- Exposure to pension accounting, environmental/PBO accounting, stock compensation, and other technical accounting areas.
The ideal candidate brings a strong corporate accounting background with broad accounting exposure beyond transactional functions such as AP or AR. They are detail-oriented, technically strong, comfortable working independently, and thrive in a collaborative environment focused on continuous improvement.
Location: Tampa, FL (Onsite 4 days per week)
