Payroll Specialist

A well-established organization is seeking a Senior Payroll Lead to join its growing payroll team. This role is ideal for someone who has experience supporting a large employee population, understands multi-state payroll taxes and regulations, and is comfortable working with detailed payroll data and advanced Excel.

• Process and support high-volume payroll for a large, multi-state workforce.
• Ensure payroll is processed accurately, timely, and in accordance with federal, state, and local requirements.
• Research and resolve multi-state payroll tax and compliance issues.
• Apply knowledge of varying state payroll laws and regulations, particularly in states with more complex requirements.
• Review payroll data, identify discrepancies, and assist with corrections and reconciliations.
• Use advanced Excel for payroll reporting, analysis, audits, reconciliations, and data validation.
• Utilize ADP Workforce Now to process and maintain payroll information.
• Help maintain accurate employee and payroll records and support ongoing process improvements.
• Stay current on changes to payroll tax laws and regulations that may impact payroll processing.

• 3+ years of payroll experience in a corporate or high-volume environment.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of multi-state payroll taxes and payroll laws.
• Ability to work with different state-specific payroll requirements and regulations.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including the ability to analyze and reconcile large amounts of data.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve payroll discrepancies.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume payroll environment.
• Experience with ADP Workforce Now.
• Experience managing or supporting payroll involving multiple tax jurisdictions and/or tax IDs.
