Senior Accountant

Responsibilities

Kforce has a client in Tampa, FL that is seeking a Senior Accountant. Responsibilities:

• Support monthly close and financial reporting, including journal entries, reconciliations, and analysis
• Prepare and review internal management reports and consolidated financial data
• Assist with quarterly and annual financial statements and audit requests
• Maintain balance sheet integrity through account reviews and reconciliations
• Support internal controls, SOX compliance, and internal/external audit activities
• Use ERP systems to research variances, report results, and support process improvements
• Perform financial analysis and provide decision support to management
• Partner with operational and corporate teams to resolve accounting issues
• Participate in special projects and continuous improvement initiatives
• Stay current on accounting standards and reporting requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA and/or advanced degree preferred
• 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate or multi-entity environment
• Strong knowledge of general accounting and financial reporting principles
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP)
• Proficiency in Excel and business productivity tools
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
