Newsom Eye is seeking an experienced, hands‑on Vice President of Finance to oversee multi‑company financials, payroll, and all core accounting operations. This role supports senior leadership and ensures accurate, timely financial reporting in a fast‑paced healthcare environment.
Key Requirements- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 10-15 years accounting & finance experience
- 10–15 years accounting management experience
- Healthcare experience strongly preferred
- Experience in family/private‑practice organizations
- Payroll & workers’ compensation experience
- Basic tax knowledge
- Experience converting systems (payroll platforms, Quick Books)
- Familiarity with AI tools in accounting a plus
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects
- Advanced Excel/Microsoft Office (formulas, lookups, data analysis)
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities
- In‑depth knowledge of accounting software, regulations, and financial analysis
- High level of confidentiality
- Critical‑thinking mindset; comfortable challenging the status quo
- Hands‑on leadership style
- Strategic thinking with the ability to design, implement, and sustain operational improvements
- Oversee preparation of financial statements & reporting
- Bank reconciliations and accuracy of financial data
- Financial analysis, trends, and corrective recommendations
- Monthly, quarterly, annual reporting
- Medical billing & A/R oversight
- Coordinate with external financial entities
- Prepare monthly doctor reports
- Senior leadership scorecard preparation
- Payroll oversight & backup processing
