Bookkeeper​/Staff Accountant

Position: Staff Accountant / Bookkeeper

Environment: Fast-paced public accounting environment supporting a diverse client portfolio with high-volume bookkeeping and accounting needs.

Compensation: $52,000 - $63,000

Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire

Start Date: Immediate

Established CPA firm providing accounting, bookkeeping, tax, audit, and advisory services to a broad range of business and individual clients.

• Full-cycle accounts payable processing
• General ledger maintenance and invoice coding
• Bank and account reconciliations
• Financial statement preparation and monthly write-up work
• Payroll tax reporting, including 941 and RT6 filings
• Support multiple client accounts and maintain accurate financial records
• Assist with month-end close and related accounting functions

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• 2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience, preferably within a CPA firm or public accounting environment
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and month-end processes
• Experience with Quick Books or similar accounting software
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple deadlines in a client-service environment
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently as well as part of a team
