Hybrid Billing Specialist - Precise Invoicing and Impact

Role Overview

The Billing Specialist is responsible for processing daily invoices in multiple billing systems for multiple locations. This position requires constant communication with the field and managers to ensure all billing is being processed at the highest standard as well as fixing any problems that may arise. The Billing Specialist must be able to meet daily billing deadlines while maintaining a high degree of accuracy.

Pay Range: $23.00 to $24.00 per hour

Location: Hybrid, at least 1 day per week in office, typically Wednesday

• Audit physical tickets, data entered the system, and associated paperwork for accuracy and completeness.
• Ensure billing rates are correct
• Audit for price overrides
• Ensure approvals were obtained when required
• Communicate errors to field personnel and coordinate corrective action.
• Add and update information in the customer databases.
• Assist with managing the billing queue.
• Index scanned documents when needed.
• Assist in training new field personnel on daily requirements and expectations for billing.
• Pull historical information for field personnel as required.
• Communicate negative trends to management for review and corrective action.
• Other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or equivalent required;
  Associate degree preferred
• At least 1 year of high volume daily billing experience in the transportation, manufacturing, distribution, or similar industry required.
• Beginner to Intermediate skills in MS Word and Excel.
• Experience with Great Plains preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
