Job Title
Test Administrator
Requirements- A baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited American college or university.
- A minimum of one year of related professional experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software desirable.
- Administer PME programs such as enlisted PME, Airman Leadership School, NCO Academy, Senior NCO Academy as needed.
- Administer Air University Distributed Learning end‑of‑course examinations for CDC and non‑resident professional military education using e‑testing.
- Administer any test required by the Air Force, Army, Navy, Marine Corps, or Coast Guard that is not normally administered through the local military test control officer.
- Provide quality educational testing support to testers.
- Prepare and submit all required forms to ensure sessions begin promptly.
- Remain physically present during the entire test session unless relieved by an appropriate authority (TCO/ATCO).
- Administer tests in accordance with instructions in testing handbooks, examiner guides, and TCO/ATCO instructions to prevent compromise.
- Submit monthly invoices with payment within two business days after the last testing unit of the month.
- Use the Air Force Automated Education Management System (AFAEMS) to access the list of scheduled test takers and update the roster indicating start, stop, and no‑show status.
- Perform pre‑testing administrative tasks such as spacing between seats, adequate lighting, temperature control, and operational computer equipment.
- Maintain the testing office and room in a condition conducive to good test performance.
- Report heating or cooling problems to the facility manager or alternate.
- Prepare student computers before the testing session for computer‑based tests.
- Require examinees to present official DoD picture identification before testing.
- Inspect paper‑based test materials for missing pages or marks before issuing them.
- Maintain an official log for all tests, recording name, test title, start and stop times, and require examinee signatures before departure.
- Ensure timing limits are adhered to and inform examinees of time requirements.
- Review answer sheets as they are submitted to ensure proper completion (paper‑based).
- Check reusable answer booklets upon return, erase marks, and verify missing pages.
- Enter return times into the test log for all booklets.
- Secure the testing office by locking doors when leaving.
- Inform TCO/ATCO immediately of any irregularities that could represent test compromise or candidate complaints.
- Maintain files of special‑order tests and handle associated follow‑up.
- Maintain statistical data related to test administration and assist with monthly, quarterly, semi‑annual, and annual reports by established deadlines.
- Keep all documents and correspondence files neat and orderly, separated by calendar year.
- Notify the file records custodian of required files.
- Process necessary paperwork for optimal operation of the testing program.
- Refer questions about schedule changes or testing policy to the TCO/ATCO and questions about interpretation of results to counselors.
- Maintain currency of all testing in AFAEMS and e‑test; update electronic inventories when administered.
- Set up the computer lab daily and verify correct examinations to be administered.
- Verify AU course exams through testers CDSAR accounts to confirm exam number.
- Meet all requirements for base LAN computer access and base access security background check.
- Return all credentials before departure or at contract expiration, including scenarios of termination for cause or retirement.
- The candidate will work approximately 147 units per fiscal year (one unit equals six hours).
- Each unit includes test and administrative time; units are scheduled Monday‑Friday.
- Approximately three units per week are normally required, each lasting about six hours (excluding lunch break).
- The candidate will administer approximately 3,600 tests annually to members of all services and eligible civilians.
