Peoples Gas is the fastest growing natural gas utility in the Southeast. We seek an experienced administrative professional to support managers and senior staff with complex, routine, and non‑routine administrative duties.
Responsibilities- Admin Specialist II:
Handle non‑routine external and internal calls, provide first‑level support, compose letters and memoranda, assist with budget preparation and variance analysis, perform data analysis for reports, maintain records management, support compliance tracking, and provide backup to the Work Coordinator. - Admin Specialist III:
In addition to the duties of Admin Specialist II, screen visitors and calls, perform advanced administrative tasks such as preparing complex reports and presentations, coordinate meetings and travel, train less experienced staff, and manage high‑level correspondence and documentation.
- Admin Specialist II:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum of two (2) years of administrative support as an Administrative Specialist (Level
2) within a utility environment or four (4) years in progressively complex roles.
- Admin Specialist III:
- High School Diploma or GED with business administration or secretarial coursework.
- Minimum of two (2) years as a Senior Administrative Specialist or six (6) years in progressively complex utility administrative roles.
- Proficiency in Power Plant, CIS/CRM, GIS, and MS Office applications. Advanced analytical and communication skills, ability to train staff, and discretion in handling confidential information.
- Associate’s degree from an accredited college/university (competitive advantage).
- Bi‑lingual skills (beneficial).
Team members may be called upon to assist in incident response activities, including storm events, gas leaks, equipment failures, and other emergencies. Training and participation in mock drills may be required.
