This open competitive advertisement is for a Career Service position located at Circuit 130 Tampa Circuit.
The Administrative Assistant I position ensures the integrity and efficiency of offender management by accurately processing sentencing and monetary obligation records, diligently verifying criminal histories, coordinating community service and job assignments, maintaining high standards of data quality, and providing comprehensive administrative support.
This position is not a telework position and is required to report to the FDC office in the area it serves.
JOB DUTIES:- Enters and codes offender sentencing and monetary obligation documents, including sentencing guideline score sheets, into the CDC database.
- Requests and interprets criminal record information from NCIC/FCIC and other databases; screens new intakes for FDLE registration and prepares prior records.
- Develops, coordinates, and monitors offender community service work and job/program assignments.
- Conducts quality assurance audits for data accuracy and generates management reports.
- Provides administrative support by researching, preparing reports, assisting staff/public, coordinating budget/expenditures, ordering supplies, and handling confidential correspondence.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:BACKGROUND SCREENING REQUIREMENT
The Florida Department of Corrections requires all job applicants and volunteers to pass a Level 2 background check as per Chapter 435, Florida Statutes. This check must be completed before they can start working or volunteering.
