Role OverviewThe Operations Manager will work directly with the Founder and serve as the operational lead for a lending business. This role is responsible for translating business strategy into execution, improving efficiency across lending operations, and building repeatable, scalable systems and processes.
This is a hands‑on position ideal for someone who is highly process‑oriented, comfortable operating in an evolving environment, and experienced in bringing structure to growing businesses. The Operations Manager will play a critical role in ensuring that the business runs smoothly, efficiently, and predictably as it scales.
Key Responsibilities Operational Leadership & Execution- Partner closely with the Founder to translate business direction and priorities into clear operational plans and execution.
- Act as the day‑to‑day operational lead, ensuring alignment across lending workflows and internal functions.
- Identify operational gaps, bottlenecks, and inefficiencies and implement practical solutions.
- Design, document, and optimize end‑to‑end lending processes to improve speed, accuracy, and consistency.
- Build repeatable systems, workflows, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to support scalability.
- Implement tools, dashboards, and reporting to track performance and operational metrics.
- Oversee core lending operations, ensuring deals move efficiently from origination through funding and servicing.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders (e.g., vendors, partners, service providers) to ensure smooth execution.
- Ensure operational processes support compliance, risk management, and quality standards.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement, proactively identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and reduce friction.
- Support business growth by anticipating operational needs and building infrastructure ahead of demand.
- Adapt processes and systems as the business evolves, balancing structure with flexibility.
- 5+ years of experience in operations, preferably within financial services, lending, fintech, or a fast‑growing company.
- Proven experience building and improving operational processes in a scaling or entrepreneurial environment.
- Strong process orientation with the ability to translate strategy into execution.
- Comfortable working directly with a founder or senior leadership in a fast‑moving, evolving business.
- Hands‑on mindset with a willingness to dive into details while also thinking strategically.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
- Experience implementing operational tools, workflows, and performance tracking systems is a plus.
- Lending operations run smoothly, efficiently, and predictably.
- Clear, documented processes and systems are in place and consistently followed.
- The Founder is supported by a strong operational partner who turns vision into execution.
- The business is operationally prepared to scale without chaos or inefficiency.
