At Jacobs, we're challenging today to reinvent tomorrow by solving the world's most critical problems for thriving cities, resilient environments, mission‑critical outcomes, operational advancement, scientific discovery and cutting‑edge manufacturing, turning abstract ideas into realities that transform the world for good.

Your impact

We’re looking for a proactive and detail‑driven Business Development Coordinator to join our team in Tampa, Pensacola, or Orlando. In this role, you’ll work closely with senior client and market leaders, project managers, and office leadership to support strategic pursuits, strengthen client relationships, and ensure our teams are prepared and aligned. You’ll play a key role in coordinating pursuit activities, maintaining portfolio and pipeline materials, and producing high‑quality, polished client‑facing content that reflects our commitment to excellence.

You’ll thrive in this role if you’re organized, communicative, and energized by managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment. It’s a great opportunity for someone with experience in the AEC or professional services industry who wants to deepen their understanding of how work is positioned, pursued, and delivered. Success requires collaboration across sales, marketing, operations, and delivery teams—and a consistent in‑office presence to support team communication and overall office operations.

What

You’ll Do
  • Provide administrative and coordination support to client account leads and senior client/market leaders to execute day‑to‑day sales and account activities.
  • Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date opportunity, pursuit, and portfolio information across internal systems; support dashboard/report monitoring.
  • Support account and opportunity setup and portfolio management activities, including coordinating internal reviews/approvals and required documentation.
  • Coordinate pursuit readiness by organizing schedules, resources, budgets, and deliverables; keep teams aligned through internal communications and status updates.
  • Support proposal and client deliverable development by coordinating content, schedules, and inputs across sales, project managers, marketing, graphic design, and publishing resources.
  • Proofread and edit technical and non‑technical materials for accuracy, consistency, grammar, and formatting to ensure compliant, professional submittals.
  • Compile and format business development materials (reports, statistics, timelines, tables, graphs, correspondence, and presentations).
  • Coordinate meetings and events, including Microsoft Teams and in‑person meetings; assist with client meetings, industry events, and account planning activities.
  • Track and support management of sales/pursuit budgets and related reporting.
  • Conduct research on clients, markets, and upcoming opportunities to support account planning and business development strategy.
  • Serve as a connector across sales, operations, marketing, and delivery teams to support collaboration, smooth handoffs, and coverage during peak pursuit activity (under direction of senior leaders).
Here’s what you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, technical, or a related field preferred.
  • 1‑4 years of experience in the AEC, engineering, construction, architecture, or professional services preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong proficiency in grammar, punctuation, spelling, and formatting.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and process compliance.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, in‑office professional environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams);
    Adobe (Acrobat Pro, InDesign).
