Job Summary
We are looking for a Financial Analyst for our client, which is a nationally recognized transportation and logistics organization known for its large specialized fleet, operational excellence, and commitment to continuous improvement. The Financial Analyst plays a key role in evaluating business performance, interpreting operational trends, and providing insights that directly support leadership decision?making. This individual will build analytical tools, extract and examine data, and collaborate with teams across corporate and field locations to drive process improvements and profitability.
Key Responsibilities- Develop analytical models, reporting tools, and dashboards that highlight operational and financial trends.
- Examine monthly results, identify variances, and translate findings into clear, actionable recommendations.
- Track and enhance Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) used to measure business effectiveness.
- Research revenue opportunities and margin improvement initiatives across various business segments.
- Prepare executive?level reports, presentations, and summaries for senior leadership.
- Support special projects, ad?hoc analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.
- Partner with stakeholders at multiple levels to gather insights and validate data assumptions.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of financial analysis, business analytics, or related internship experience.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong analytical, modeling, and data?mining capabilities.
- Experience with P&L analysis, variance analysis, and financial reporting principles.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of PowerPoint and Access.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to simplify complex information.
- Highly organized, detail-focused, and able to manage shifting priorities.
- Self?motivated team contributor who approaches challenges with a solutions?oriented mindset.
This role is based in Tampa, FL, and operates on a hybrid schedule (4 days in office, 1 WFH).
Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law in geographies that require salary range disclosure, Vaco/Highspring notes the salary range for the role is noted in this job posting.
The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company’s 401(k) retirement plan.
