Summary of
Duties & Responsibilities:
The Product Specialist is a valued member of the Finance and Accounting Management (FAM) product team, executing tasks across the entire product delivery lifecycle with focus on Project Accounting, Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Contract-to-Collect (C2C), and financial compliance processes. The Product Specialist requires a strong understanding of general ledger accounting, payroll systems, multi-currency accounting concepts, intercompany and multi-entity structures, project-based accounting, and revenue recognition principles.
This role seeks a self‑motivated, highly organized, and collaborative professional who thrives in a team environment and brings a passion for business systems. The Product Specialist will evangelize product capabilities and drive customer adoption and success.
- Serve as support escalation point for the FAM product portfolio
- Research FAM product issues and identify potential solutions
- Record, document, and manage FAM product issues and modifications
- Structure and execute FAM user acceptance testing and release readiness
- Prepare, manage, and maintain formal product documentation, including release notes, data sheets, and user stories
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Leadership: Demonstrate extreme ownership for decisions, actions, and outcomes related to personal and team activities
- Professional: Demonstrate personal responsibility, preparation, and pride for work product, team, and organization; effectively communicate FAM product issues, feedback, and recommendations to colleagues verbally and in writing
- Domain Knowledge: Grow knowledge of the finance and accounting business domain, product area features and capabilities, market landscape (competitor software products), and industry trends; engage FAM end users to understand product usage and capture feedback via sessions, focus groups, and other forums
- Execution: Analyze and document requirements for targeted FAM product modifications in context of existing functionality; identify and troubleshoot software issues and provide effective solutions in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
- 2+ years implementing, supporting, facilitating, and/or testing financial accounting systems or ERP platforms
This job operates in a professional office environment. The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
