AboutThe Role
As an Associate you will join a team of thinkers and problem-solvers who provide data-driven insights in high-stakes legal, business and policy matters. You will support expert teams by sourcing and curating large and complex datasets, evaluating market structure and conditions, building econometric models, forecasting future outcomes and preparing clear, rigorous work product for clients and expert reports. You will build technical skills and contribute to work that shapes important legal and business outcomes.

- Conduct economic, financial, statistical, and industry research to support client engagements.
- Analyze large and complex datasets toidentifytrends, test hypotheses, and develop data-driven insights.
- Support damage assessments, asset valuations, market analyses, forecasting exercises, and regulatory or litigation-related evaluations.
- Assist with the preparation of expert reports, presentations, exhibits, and other client deliverables.
- Develop a practical understanding of industries, markets, legal claims, and business issues relevant to each engagement.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Business, or a related analytical field, with an expected graduation date between Winter 2026 and Summer 2027.
- 3.6 GPA or higher preferred.
- Demonstrated interest in applying analytics to business, legal, regulatory, or policy questions.
- Strong quantitative, research, problem‑solving, and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced, client‑service environment.
- Attention to detail, intellectual curiosity, and a commitment to producing high‑quality work.
- Experience with statistical, econometric and programming tools such as Excel, Stata, R, Python, SQL or similar platforms is preferred.
- Fluency with AI tools is desirable.
- Candidates must be able to submit verification of their legal right to work in the United States, without company sponsorship now or in the future.
Associates are hired to support project work aligned to one of BRG’s practice areas, though there may be flexibility to work across multiple practice areas.
