The work-study position in the Office of Auxiliary Services Operations reports to the Associate Director and collaborates with the entire staff in the department. Work-study student also interacts with on-campus business partners and other University departments.
Current USF student with Federal Work Study award for Fall 2026-Spring 2027.
Applicant must have a current Federal Work Study (FWS) award for the current academic year in order to apply for this position.
Preferred qualifications:- Must have a strong sense of organization.
- Must be reliable and dependable when reporting to work, completing assignments, and responding to communication emails promptly.
- Must have the ability to work independently and as a team member.
- Must have a strong customer service orientation, the ability to use good judgement, and exercise discretion.
- Ability to work outside an office environment (occasional outside event participation).
- Must have excellent professional demeanor, self-motivated and flexible.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills, i.e., word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, web sites, and social media.
- Basic employability skills such as: appropriate dress, interpersonal communication, timeliness, and time management.
- Demonstrate the importance of communication flow in the workplace.
- Firsthand experience of managing multiple projects at a time which require different skills sets (utilize a diverse skill set which require to adapt to the project at hand).
- Receive and apply feedback from supervisor to enhance performance quality.
- Assess workplace and demonstrate how personal talents, skills, and knowledge fit into employer's goals, mission, and vision.
