We are seeking an experienced Advisory Consultant Lead to support clients across the water infrastructure and utilities sectors. This role will lead complex advisory engagements focused on asset management, utility management, operational improvement, and long-term infrastructure planning. You will work with senior stakeholders to understand business challenges, develop practical strategies, and deliver solutions that improve service performance, resilience, efficiency, and regulatory outcomes.
Key responsibilities will include leading multidisciplinary consulting teams, managing client relationships, and overseeing the delivery of high-quality projects from inception through to implementation. You will assess asset portfolios, operating models, maintenance strategies, capital investment plans, and lifecycle performance. The role will also involve developing asset management frameworks, utility management approaches, business cases, performance improvement plans, risk assessments, and investment prioritisation models.
You will facilitate workshops, interpret technical and commercial information, prepare clear reports and presentations, and provide credible recommendations to executive and operational audiences. Supporting business development activities, preparing proposals, mentoring colleagues, and contributing to the development of sector knowledge will also be important aspects of the position.
The successful candidate will have substantial experience in water infrastructure, utilities, asset management, or a closely related advisory environment, with a proven record of delivering projects for major infrastructure owners or operators. A strong understanding of asset lifecycle management, utility operations, regulatory requirements, risk management, and performance optimisation is essential. You should be confident engaging with senior clients, leading teams, managing budgets and schedules, and translating complex technical issues into commercially focused advice.
Excellent written and verbal communication, structured problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills are required. A relevant degree or professional qualification in engineering, asset management, infrastructure, business, or a related discipline is preferred. The role may involve travel to client and project locations.
