We are looking for a Concrete Superintendent to lead and oversee all aspects of the concrete construction projects. This critical role will manage on-site operations, coordinate with project teams and ensure safe work to complete jobs timely and correctly. Our Concrete Superintendent will be a strong leader and extensive construction site experience, and a thorough understanding of concrete work processes, including formwork, reinforcement, pouring, finishing, and curing.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise all concrete construction activities on-site, ensuring adherence to project plans, schematics, and specifications.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and resources.
- Oversee daily work schedules
- Foster a culture of working safely by enforcing safety protocols in compliance with OSHA regulations; conduct regular safety meetings and inspections to promote a safe working environment.
- Review blueprints and schematics thoroughly to interpret technical drawings accurately for onsite execution.
- Manage quality control processes by inspecting work for adherence to standards; utilize tools like ohmmeters for electrical testing when necessary.
- Oversee budgeting and cost control measures related to concrete materials, labor, and equipment; prepare reports for project tracking.
- Supervise and mentor field personnel; grow your crew members into leaders
- Ensure proper documentation of daily activities, incident reports, and project logs
- Experience in construction management with a focus on concrete. Supervisory or leadership experience preferred,
- Strong knowledge of concrete placement techniques, formwork systems, reinforcement installation, curing methods, and quality assurance practices.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and certification requirements for construction sites.
- Proficiency in using construction site management software
- Skilled in managing subcontractors, budgets, and project timelines effectively.
