Junior Electrical Estimator

Erwin Electric, Inc is currently seeking a Junior Electrical Estimator in the Tampa Bay Area. This person will assist in various tasks related to electrical systems while maintaining industry standards while contributing to the execution of projects.

• Assist in preparing accurate cost estimates for electrical projects
• Perform and validate electrical take-offs from drawings and specifications
• Coordinate the input parameters for cost estimates
• Assist in compiling information from all estimating disciplines into one cost estimate
• Request and track pricing from vendors and subcontractors
• Help prepare bid packages, proposals, and supporting documentation
• Establish site‑specific estimating criteria including wage and person‑hour productivity rates
• Provide innovative solutions for construction, estimating issues and problems
• Review design documents such as specifications, change orders, and contract modifications

• Strong knowledge of electrical construction methods
• The ability to comprehend construction blueprints
• Experience with Accubidor or similar estimating software is highly desirable
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
