Role Summary
The General Laborer 1 role will assist skilled trades on a variety of construction projects, including new construction and renovations. Duties include site cleanup, loading, unloading, handling and shipping materials, and other tasks as assigned.
Key Role Responsibilities- Assist skilled trades by loading, unloading, and distributing materials.
- Assist in dismantling and transporting construction materials.
- Collect and dispose accumulated trash on site daily.
- Perform general cleaning and trash removal for jobsite trailer.
- Clean and maintain concrete and forming tools.
- Operate pumps and equipment for site dewatering needs.
- Organize and clean conex containers and gang boxes daily.
- Serve as construction gate duty and flagging responsibilities.
- Identify materials accurately and use Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
- Operate a buck hoist safely and effectively.
- Assist with demolition operations.
- Ensure PPE compliance and follow OSHA standards.
- Adhere to all JE Dunn safety standards.

- High School Diploma or GED (Preferred).
- Apprentice and/or Vocational/Technical/Trade training (Preferred).
- Equivalent relevant experience considered.
- 0–2 years commercial construction experience (Preferred).
- Lift at least 50 pounds.
- Expose to extreme conditions (hot or cold).
- Work non‑traditional hours.
- Have reliable transportation.
- Comfortable working at heights, narrow work spaces, and various depths (trenches).
- Frequent activity: standing, walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, carrying, swinging, reaching above shoulder, pushing, pulling, balancing.
- Occasional activity: sitting, viewing computer screen.
- Physical requirements may vary by project type/location.
