HDR is an employee-owned company committed to inclusion and making a difference in communities. This role reports to the Trenchless Services Engineering Lead and focuses on the design and field services related to trenchless engineering, design, and construction applications.

Responsibilities
  • Provide construction oversight for trenchless installations.
  • Conduct constructability reviews of trenchless engineering efforts.
  • Review deliverables for trenchless construction activities on a daily basis.
  • Conduct site visits during preliminary engineering efforts.
  • Perform route assessments for trenchless aspects of pipeline siting and routing.
  • Oversee trenchless construction activities, including coordinating staffing and developing/reviewing construction management scopes.
  • Support business development for trenchless services through client interface.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, scheduling, and quality control.
  • Prepare the project management plan and construction management plan.
  • Develop procedures for construction contract administration and coordinate implementation with the project team.
  • Perform additional construction management activities, including procurement development, schedules, subcontract scopes, and value engineering reviews.
  • Administer and manage construction activities and monitor progress against design requirements.
  • Perform value engineering and constructability reviews.
  • Coordinate local bidding for field quotes.
  • Assist in procurement of purchase orders and subcontract packages.
  • Coordinate document management and review/expedite submittals, shop drawings, and pay applications.
  • Prepare, issue, and negotiate change orders.
  • Review construction schedules and control project budget and schedule.
  • Coordinate quality assurance, control, and inspection services; ensure subcontractor compliance with Health and Safety programs.
  • Prepare and update project schedules, pay requests, and progress reports.
  • Take responsibility for project setup and temporary facilities.
  • Perform other duties as needed.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Construction Science or closely related field or equivalent work experience.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in construction planning and management, including contracts, document/time/cost/quality management, change management, and site safety; estimating, bidding, purchasing, scheduling, and cost control.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with construction management software such as Procore, Prolog, Primavera, Bluebeam, etc.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the Owner, Engineer, Contractor and other project stakeholders.
  • Commitment to participating in an employee-owned culture.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional Engineer (PE).
  • Certified Construction Manager (CCM).
  • Experience with estimating software, scheduling software, project management software, and web-based collaboration tools for document exchange.

The expected compensation range for this position depends on skills, experience, education, and location; the targeted salary range is $135,000 - $165,000
