Estimator, Construction, Building & Residential Construction

A leading building envelope contractor specializing in the design, engineering, fabrication, and installation of high-performance façade systems is seeking an Estimator to join its growing Tampa-based preconstruction team. The company delivers complex curtain wall, window wall, glazing, cladding, and architectural metal packages on landmark projects throughout Florida and the Eastern United States. Projects include luxury residential towers, hospitality developments, office buildings, mixed-use projects, and other large-scale commercial construction.

The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates for glazing and building envelope projects while supporting the Preconstruction Manager throughout the bidding and budgeting process. This individual will review drawings and specifications, perform take-offs, solicit vendor pricing, and help develop winning proposals for projects ranging from mid-rise commercial buildings to complex high-rise developments.

• Prepare detailed estimates for curtain wall, window wall, storefront, glazing, and façade packages.
• Review architectural drawings, specifications, and bid documents.
• Perform quantity take-offs and scope analysis.
• Solicit and evaluate supplier and subcontractor pricing.
• Assist with conceptual budgets and design-assist pricing exercises.
• Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving solutions.
• Coordinate with project management, engineering, and operations teams.
• Support bid submissions and project handoff activities.
• Maintain relationships with general contractors, developers, architects, and vendors.

• 2+ years of estimating experience within commercial construction.
• Experience with high-rise residential, condominium, office, hotel, or mixed-use projects preferred.
• Knowledge of curtain wall, window wall, storefront, architectural glass, façades, or building envelope systems is highly desirable.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Experience with estimating software and Microsoft Office.
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple pursuits simultaneously.
• $75,000 – $100,000 base salary depending on experience.
