Estimator - Division 8

The Estimator for Division 8 will be responsible for accurately estimating costs associated with commercial door projects, ensuring that project bids are competitive and profitable. This role requires a strong understanding of Division 8 materials and systems, as well as the ability to collaborate with contractors and clients to deliver precise and timely estimates.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and analyze project plans and specifications to prepare accurate cost estimates for Division 8 materials and systems.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to gather information needed for estimating.
• Utilize Comsense software to generate detailed and precise estimates for commercial door projects.
• Prepare and submit bid proposals to clients, ensuring all necessary documentation is included.
• Maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing and ensure competitive bids.
• Monitor project costs and adjust estimates as necessary throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and gather additional information for accurate estimating.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in estimating for Division 8, particularly commercial doors and related systems.
• Proficient in using Comsense and other estimating software.
• Strong understanding of construction processes and materials related to Division 8.
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail in cost estimation.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with project teams and clients.
• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
