General Laborer – Precast Concrete Yard (Hablamos Espanol)
This role supports the production of precast and prestressed concrete structures in an outdoor concrete yard, primarily for parking garage construction. You will assist with forming, reinforcing, and preparing concrete products, while working closely with an experienced team in a fast-paced, construction-style environment. Responsibilities
- Assist in forming precast concrete structures used primarily for the construction of parking garages.
- Tie off rebar and reinforcing steel accurately and safely according to project requirements.
- Set, assemble, and adjust wood forms used in the production of concrete components.
- Handle materials throughout the yard, including loading and unloading products and supplies by hand or with assistance from equipment operators.
- Maintain a clean and organized yard and shop area by performing regular housekeeping and debris removal.
- Work outdoors in a concrete yard environment, performing physically demanding tasks for extended periods.
- Follow all safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment, including steel-toed boots and appropriate work clothing.
- Collaborate with supervisors and coworkers to complete daily production goals and support ongoing projects.
- Adapt to schedule changes, including working longer days or Saturdays when required to meet project timelines.
- Avoid operating equipment or machinery at the start of the contract, while remaining available to support equipment operators with manual tasks as needed.
Essential Skills
- Experience working in construction, landscaping, or similar outdoor labor-intensive environments.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting up to 70 pounds regularly.
- Comfort working outdoors in dusty, dry, and varying weather conditions.
- Mechanical aptitude and comfort using basic hand and power tools.
- Ability to follow directions and work safely in a concrete yard setting.
- Willingness to wear and maintain required personal protective equipment, including steel-toed boots, long pants, and a long-sleeve or long shirt.
- Openness to working extended hours, including some Saturdays and potential 65–70-hour workweeks during busy project periods.
- General labor experience with a strong work ethic and reliability.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in concrete work, construction, or steel work, including tying rebar or working with structural components.
- Previous experience in precast concrete or similar production environments.
- Bilingual ability, with Spanish language skills considered a strong plus.
- Experience working in environments where schedules may shift due to weather conditions.
- Comfort working in a team with a diverse workforce and supervisors.
- Ability to plan for short lunch breaks, including bringing lunch when needed due to limited on-site food options.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tampa, FL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr.
