Onsite Project Engineer; Junior PM — Heavy Civil

• 1+ years of experience as a Project Manager within heavy civil, roadway, highway, or infrastructure construction
• Bachelors degree is required
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and project specifications
• Experience coordinating subcontractors, project schedules, manpower, and change orders

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Bachelors Degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering is a plus
• Background working closely with field superintendents and government agencies is a plus
• Experience with FDOT is a plus

Job Description

Insight Global is looking to hire a Project Engineer (Junior Project Manager) in Tampa, FL.

This is an onsite position that will split time in an office setting and visiting job sites.

This individual will oversee heavy civil and infrastructure construction projects from planning through completion. Responsibilities include managing project schedules, coordinating subcontractors, working with field superintendents, overseeing manpower allocation, handling change orders, reviewing takeoffs, and ensuring projects stay on schedule and within budget. This person will regularly interface with estimating teams, clients, and agencies such as FDOT while conducting job site visits as needed.

The role requires balancing office and field responsibilities and may occasionally require weekend work based on project demands. This position operates within a typical 50-hour work week common to the construction industry
