Senior Preconstruction Manager
We're partnering with a nationally recognised GC to hire a Senior Preconstruction Manager for their growing Tampa office. This is an opportunity to play a key role in winning and delivering some of the region's most high-profile commercial projects while joining a business with a strong backlog, outstanding culture, and a clear path for career progression.
The Role
As a Senior Preconstruction Manager, you'll lead the preconstruction process from initial pursuit through to project handover, working closely with owners, architects, consultants, and operations teams to develop competitive, value-driven proposals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead preconstruction efforts on projects ranging from $30M to $300M+
- Prepare detailed conceptual and hard bid estimates
- Develop budgets, cost plans, and value engineering solutions
- Manage subcontractor bidding, scope reviews, and procurement strategies
- Collaborate with operations teams to ensure a seamless transition into construction
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, design teams, and trade partners
- Mentor and support junior preconstruction staff
What We're Looking For
- 8+ years of preconstruction, estimating, or cost management experience with a General Contractor
- Experience delivering large-scale commercial construction projects
- Strong knowledge of conceptual estimating, budgeting, and value engineering
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills
- Ability to manage multiple pursuits in a fast-paced environment
