What You'll Do

As a Construction Administrator, you'll be the hub between owners, designers, and contractors during construction-making sure work conforms to the plans and specifications, coordinating decisions quickly, and keeping documentation tight from NTP through final inspection and startup.

  • Administer contracts and documentation through the full construction phase-including submittals, RFIs, change orders, pay apps, final inspection, and startup.
  • Serve as primary daytoday contact between contractor and design team; coordinate prompt decisions with owners' representatives.
  • Assist in evaluation of contractor proposals, bids, estimates, schedules, and change orders; advise the design team and owner on needed decisions.
  • Maintain current knowledge of ownerarchitect agreements and any additional service agreements; ensure compliance in field execution.
  • Review plans and specifications to coordinate design intent and construction means/methods; flag discrepancies and drive resolution.
  • Perform regular site visits to discuss activities, progress, and issues with superintendents and trade partners; document observations.
  • Coordinate startup and commissioning touchpoints with the client and contractor; communicate issues and track to closure.
  • Attend owner/contractor meetings; provide updates, capture action items, and follow through on deliverables.
  • Meet with state, city, and county officials for construction review and code adherence as necessary.
  • Help resolve conflicts with suppliers and contractors; escalate unusual conditions to the design team and owners' reps and facilitate solutions.
  • Review contractor and supplier pay applications for accuracy and conformance with progress and contract terms.
  • Ensure applicable quality procedures are executed timely on assigned projects; promote lessons learned and continuous improvement.
