Building Envelope/Project Consultant
Moisture Intrusion Solutions, Inc, a Salas O'Brien company, is seeking a building envelope professional with experience in designing, investigating, and/or repairing building enclosure systems in the Atlanta, GA area and the Eastern United States. This position is hybrid; you will perform regular site observations but report writing will be done from your home office.
GeneralDuties & Responsibilities
- Consult on complex building enclosure projects, providing leadership and expertise to internal and external project teams.
- Provide exterior envelope consulting through site observations (16‑25 per month).
- Each site observation requires a technical picture and written report.
- Schedule site visits with project teams and coordinate internal testing teams.
- Maintain your own schedule.
- Travel may be required outside Atlanta, GA, including air travel and overnight stays.
- Construction experience – 5 years (required). Project Management experience – 5 years (preferred).
- Knowledge of below‑grade waterproofing, roofs, windows, doors, weather barriers, cladding systems, and balcony systems.
- Extensive knowledge of multi‑family wood frame construction preferred.
- Comfortable working from heights, climbing ladders, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
Atlanta, GA and Tampa, FL. Frequent travel may be required; most sites within a typical workday, some outside requiring air travel and overnight stays.
Compensation & BenefitsBase salary range $65,000–$85,000 USD per year, plus performance bonuses and a comprehensive U.S.–based benefits package including:

Clean driving record. The company provides all safety gear except Safety Shoes/Boots required (steel or composite toe meeting OSHA standards). Employees are trained to conduct testing at construction sites and in an ISO 17025 accredited laboratory.
