Senior Estimator

GH Engage are partnering with an established commercial mechanical contractor in Florida looking to add an experienced Senior Mechanical Estimator to its growing team.

This position will be responsible for developing accurate and competitive estimates across commercial HVAC/mechanical projects, working closely with project management, general contractors, subcontractors, and vendors from initial bid through project handover.

• Review drawings and specifications for mechanical systems including chilled water, condenser water, glycol, refrigeration, HVAC and ductwork
  .
• Perform detailed pipe and mechanical takeoffs and develop project estimates.
• Prepare subcontractor bid packages and manage vendor/subcontractor pricing.
• Review scopes, RFIs, addenda and bid requirements to ensure complete coverage.
• Complete bid-day analysis and scope reviews.
• Work closely with Project Management to ensure successful turnover of awarded projects.
• Maintain strong relationships with GCs, subcontractors and vendors.

• 5+ years of mechanical estimating experience within a mechanical contractor.
• Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC, piping and duct systems
  .
• Ability to read plans, specifications, RFIs and addenda.
• Experience with mechanical estimating software;
  FastPIPE, Quick Pen or similar preferred.
• Strong understanding of project costs, margins and subcontractor pricing.
• Excellent communication, organization and attention to detail.
• Able to work full-time in-office
