Fox TV Stations FOX Television Stations owns and operates 29 full power broadcast television stations in the U.S. These include stations located in 14 of the top 15 largest designated market areas, or DMAs, and duopolies in 11 DMAs, including the three largest DMAs (New York, Los Angeles and Chicago). Of these stations, 18 are affiliated with the FOX Network. In addition to distributing sports, entertainment and syndicated content, our television stations collectively produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news every week.

These stations leverage viewer, distributor and advertiser demand for the FOX Network’s national content.

This is a rare opportunity to join one of Florida’s top TV stations. WTV-FOX 13 in Tampa is looking to hire a News Reporter/MMJ. We are the dominant station in the market and continue to evolve the way we serve our viewers. Be sides our traditional news casts, we are streaming first news organization. As a weekly reporter/MMJ you will innovate, write, and deliver compelling content across every platform, from linear cast to breaking news live stream.

You will at times be required to shoot and edit our content as we well. This bureau position will cover beautiful Peninsula County along the Gulf coast, home to St. Petersburg and Clearwater. We want a journalist who has evolved beyond linear television thinking and workflows. The content you create will be designed for our news platforms. It’s not always about packaging reporting.

You are the network’s most important storyteller. The client is your audience. You’ll produce compelling reporting. You will cover events, stories, and provide analysis. You will also support digital and social media as needed.

• On-Air Presence:
  Present stories live in-studio and from remote locations, taking full ownership of the final content and delivery.
• Solo Field Production:
  Shoot, write, and edit high-quality news video for broadcast and digital platforms.
• Own the Area:
  You are the expert for Peninsula County and know every corner of St. Petersburg and Clearwater, building a network of local sources and understanding the unique pulse of the community.
• Digital & Social First:
  Write sharp, effective text copy for our digital sites and maintain an engaging social media presence.

Minimum of 2 years of experience as a reporter is preferred. Areel that demonstrates our ability to shoot, edit, and produce content will get you noticed. This is not an entry-level position or a position for candidates who do not have a news background.

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $78,.00 annually. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
