Customer Service Representative, Life Insurance

Location

Hybrid – 3 days per week

We are looking for a customer‑service oriented individual to join our Direct team and help safeguard the future of AARP members by providing direct‑to‑consumer life insurance support.

Monday – Friday: 8:00am – 8:00pm. Full‑time candidates must be available for a variety of shift options, e.g., 11:00am – 7:00pm, 11:30am – 7:30pm, 12:30pm – 8:00pm.

• Handle high volume inbound customer and sales agent inquiries.
• Communicate and educate on product features, benefits, and contract provisions.
• Handle most customer interactions independently.
• Explain information in the functional area.
• Maintain satisfactory key performance indicators per departmental requirements.

• Associate’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 2 years customer‑service or call‑center experience.
• Accountable, ethical, good decision‑making.
• Problem‑solving and assessment skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Excellent computer navigation and multitasking skills.
• High‑school diploma or GED required.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Bilingual – Spanish.
• Prior insurance‑industry experience.

Hybrid training:
Monday and Friday remote, Tuesday‑Thursday onsite during the first 16 weeks.

Hours:

9am – 5pm EST. Training covers insurance industry, product and policy provisions, and transaction processing. Candidates will be required to obtain the Florida Life and Variable Annuities License (#214) during or before hire. Unlicensed candidates are welcomed.

Salary range: $35,000 – $42,000 annually. Overtime eligible:
