Member Experience Advocate I
Join our GTE Financial team as a Member Experience Advocate I – a customer‑focused problem solver who owns a remarkable member experience.
Responsibilities- Manage inbound calls and virtual teller sessions.
- Resolve fundamental member inquiries about checking/savings accounts, transaction research, and balance inquiries.
- Refer quality loan products based on member needs to increase engagement.
- Gather information, analyze facts, and educate members to provide a one‑point resolution.
- Support members with a positive attitude, presenting information in one‑on‑one and small group settings.
- Demonstrate proficiency in technology; learn and quickly access products through virtual banking.
- Adhere to Member Care and credit union procedures and policies.
- Learn additional tasks via training to advance to Member Experience Advocate II.
- Communicate with leadership consistently and engage in team, organizational, and community initiatives.
- Complete all required training timely and maintain current knowledge of compliance rules.
- Display functional knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act, U.S. Patriot Act, Office of Foreign Assets Control, Anti‑Money Laundering, Right to Financial Privacy Act, and the Bank Bribery Act.
- High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution; some college preferred.
- Minimum 1–3 years of customer service, banking, or call‑center experience.
- Ability to operate Word, Excel, and web browsers.
- English required; bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
- Location:
Downtown Tampa – GTE Headquarters. - Hours:
Monday–Sunday, 7:00am to 8:00pm; full‑time with additional hours as necessary. - Work setting: remote in nature; may change to remote/hybrid with notice. Requires quiet workplace, high‑speed internet (≥100MB per second), and video capability (≥1.5
Mbps). - Hybrid candidates must live within driving distance of the office and commute as needed.
