Customer Service Representative Join the Huron Machine Products Team
Huron Machine Products is looking for a Customer Service Representative who can do more than process orders. This role serves as a key customer partner, helping identify the right work holding solutions, prepare accurate quotations, coordinate orders, and deliver excellent service from start to finish.
The ideal candidate enjoys working with customers, solving problems, and developing a strong technical understanding of manufacturing, CNC turning applications, and work holding products.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as the primary customer contact for product information, questions, quotations, and order support.
- Process orders accurately while following company procedures, quality standards, and customer requirements.
- Build strong customer relationships through clear communication, follow‑up, and dependable service.
- Follow up on sales leads, gather customer information, identify opportunities, and support quoting activity.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Production, Purchasing, and Sales to keep orders accurate and on schedule.
- Monitor order status, communicate updates, and resolve customer concerns professionally.
- Maintain accurate customer records in the company’s CRM and business systems.
- Support trade shows, customer visits, team coverage, and department priorities as needed.
- Strong communication, customer service, and follow‑up skills.
- Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and general computer applications; CRM experience preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude, manufacturing experience, or technical product knowledge strongly preferred.
- Willingness to learn Huron’s products, services, manufacturing capabilities, customer applications, and the machine tool industry.
- Ability to work from company headquarters (with occasional travel) to support collaboration, training, and service excellence.
- Professional, dependable, proactive, and team‑oriented with a strong sense of ownership.
