Parking Attendant

Job Summary

This position provides Parking Services for all events at Benchmark International Arena and is responsible for the safe placement of vehicles in our lots and safety of all pedestrians in the area. Our VSG parking attendants are the first contact for our guests attending an event at our facility. Your professional and energetic demeanor are paramount in providing the foundation and basis for a World Class Plus experience for our guests.

• Provide all guests a positive first impression by offering World Class Service
• Controlling/monitoring entry to the guest and employee parking lots
• Monitoring parking lots for safety and security of guests and employees and vehicles
• Provide guests with directions and other venue information
• Direct guests and employees to available parking spaces
• Respond to all comments/complaints in a prompt, courteous, and professional manner
• All other duties as assigned

• Must comply without company policy of backgrounds checks
• Must maintain an energetic, pleasant, and neat professional appearance
• Punctual, dependable, and excellent work attendance required
• Must be polite, friendly, and possess exceptional public relations skills as this position includes extensive guest contact

• Must be able to stand on feet for long periods of time, walk long distances and climb stairs
• Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely in the English language
• Ability to work in areas that can become crowded with equipment and/or people
• Ability to work comfortably around special effects including, but not limited to: haze, strobe lights, lasers, etc.
• Ability to work in loud environments
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs
• Must be able to walk up to 0.5 miles to and from designated employee parking areas, including in varying earther conditions and during high‑traffic event times
• Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule including long hours, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Must be able to work in cold/hot indoor and outdoor temperatures

Vinik Sports Group (VSG) is an entity established by Jeff Vinik to manage the three‑time Stanley Cup Champion Tampa Bay Lightning (2004, 2020, 2021) of the National Hockey League and hold the leasehold rights to Benchmark International Arena, the 19,092‑seat downtown Tampa home in which the team plays its games. The venue opened in 1996 and became Benchmark International Arena in August
2025 when the global mergers and acquisitions firm, Benchmark International, partnered with Vinik and the Lightning. Since 2010, Vinik has led a complete brand and business transformation of the Lightning and the arena, featuring a mostly private renovation of the publicly owned facility. Doug Ostrover and Marc Lipschultz joined the expanded ownership group of Vinik Sports Group in 2024, alongside Arctos, which initially joined in2021.

In addition to owning the Lightning and managing Benchmark International Arena, Vinik Sports Group, through TBSE, manages the Yuengling Center on the campus at the University of South Florida.
