Position Summary

Tampa Family Health Centers is seeking a Dental Assistant (EFDA) to support our dental care team. This role provides chairside assistance, supports clinical and administrative functions, and helps ensure a positive and efficient patient experience across multiple locations.

The Dental Assistant works closely with dentists, hygienists, and leadership to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with TFHC policies and Florida regulations.

Essential Responsibilities

* Assist dentists and hygienists with chairside procedures in a general dental setting

* Prepare operatory rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures

* Sterilize instruments and maintain equipment and clinical areas

* Support front office functions, including scheduling and patient intake

* Submit pre-authorizations and maintain accurate patient records

* Coordinate with dental labs for case pickups and deliveries

* Monitor inventory and assist with ordering supplies

* Communicate effectively with patients and team members to support care compliance

* Travel to various TFHC locations and support the mobile dental unit as needed

* Assist with additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

* High school diploma or GED required

* Graduate of an accredited Dental Assistant program

* Florida Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification required

* Dental Radiology certification required

* Current CPR certification required

* Open to new graduates with completed in-person externship
