BIM Modeler

2+ years of professional Revit experience in a construction, engineering, architectural, MEP, structural, or specialty trade environment.

Experience creating, modifying, coordinating, and managing Revit models.

Experience performing BIM modeling, drafting, and design coordination activities.

2+ years of Navisworks experience including model navigation, coordination, and clash detection review.

Experience working within Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), BIM 360, or similar cloud-based collaboration platforms.

Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project documents.

Experience working with Bluebeam for PDF review, document comparison, markups, searching, and information extraction.

Experience coordinating models across multiple disciplines and working with linked models.

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Computer Science, or a related design discipline.

Autodesk Certified Professional or other Autodesk certifications.

Experience creating and managing custom Revit families.

Experience performing advanced clash detection, clash reporting, and clash resolution workflows in Navisworks.

Experience with quantity takeoffs and quantity extraction from BIM models.

Experience supporting 4D scheduling and construction sequencing efforts in Navisworks.

Experience with in MEP, electrical, structural, overhead systems, or specialty trade contracting environments.

Experience developing BIM standards, workflows, and best practices.

Experience mentoring junior BIM professionals or providing BIM training.

An Insight Global customer in the construction technology and building systems industry is seeking to hire a BIM Designer on a direct hire basis. This individual will be responsible for developing and coordinating detailed BIM models and system designs using Revit and related Autodesk software platforms. The BIM Designer will work closely with Project Managers, engineering teams, and other internal stakeholders to create accurate, constructible designs while ensuring quality, coordination, and compliance with project standards.

Daily responsibilities include BIM modeling, clash detection, model coordination, Revit family creation and maintenance, quantity extraction, drawing review, and design validation. Approximately 80% of this role will be spent working within Revit, making strong Revit experience a critical requirement. This individual will also utilize Bluebeam and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC/BIM 360) to review project documents, search and extract construction information, manage model coordination, and support project execution.

The ideal candidate will have experience in construction, MEP, structural, or specialty trade environments and possess strong communication skills to coordinate across multiple internal departments. This role does not involve direct customer interaction but requires frequent collaboration with internal project teams to ensure projects are completed accurately and efficiently. Candidates with extensive Revit experience, Navisworks coordination experience, and a positive, growth-oriented attitude will be highly regarded.

This position can be based in Addison, IL or Tampa, FL. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship now or in the future. Relocation assistance is not available. We can offer a pay rate of between $30/hr to $45/hr. but exact compensation may change based on education and experience.
