The expanding Division of Pediatric Neurology in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine is seeking pediatric neurologists for a full-time clinical faculty position. The academic rank will be commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and experience.
We are looking for a pediatric neurologist with strong clinical skills and a passion for pediatrics to join our team in diagnosing and treating patients ages 0‑21 who travel to USF Health for care from all over Florida. Our division currently includes three board‑certified neurologists, two nurse practitioners, a registered nurse, and an administrative specialist. The pediatric neurology call coverage is one in every four weeks.
USF Pediatric Neurology has two dedicated epilepsy monitoring beds and nine portable bedside EEGs at the Muma Children’s Hospital located within TGH. Collaboration is at the heart of USF Health. The partnership between the University of South Florida and Tampa General Hospital (TGH) enables our clinical team to work with multiple residency and fellowship programs, including neurology, spinal cord injury medicine, sleep medicine, and many more. This opportunity is best suited for a motivated physician desiring a clinical practice in an academic setting.
Clinical responsibilities will include providing outpatient care to children and adolescents at ambulatory sites, serving as an attending on a dedicated neurology inpatient service at TGH, teaching house staff, medical students, and residents, and acting as a professor of pediatric neurology. The role also offers ample research opportunities for the provider who chooses to participate.
