Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, an Orthopedic Surgeon - Oncology specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of primary benign and malignant (cancerous) bone and soft-tissue tumors. Following an orthopedic surgical residency, a fellowship in orthopedic oncology lasting one to two years is to be completed. During this time, the physician will learn in-depth about the pathology and treatment of various forms of primary malignant neoplasm affecting the boney structures of the human body.

Practices medicine within the scope of authority and privileges granted by Moffitt Cancer Center. Performs surgeries on patients with Sarcoma and metastatic cancers, places and refers patients to clinical trials, and engages in clinical research in conjunction with delivery of clinical services.

As a Member of the Moffitt Medical Group, provides patient care, serves as a member of the academic medical enterprise, contributes to the education of medical students, fellows and residents. Spanning the clinical and research enterprise in support of patient care, research, and education, advances the Institutional mission of contributing to the prevention and cure of cancer.

• Perform surgeries on patients with sarcoma and metastatic cancers.
• Place and refer patients to clinical trials.
• Engage in clinical research in conjunction with delivery of clinical services.
• Contribute to education of medical students, fellows and residents as part of the academic medical enterprise.

• MD/DO or equivalent
• Completed Fellowship in Orthopedic Oncology
• Board certified/ eligible in Orthopedic Surgery
• ACLS as required by privileges granted through Medical Staff
