Assistant Professor General Reconstruction Plastic Surgery (Finance)
The University of South Florida's Department of Plastic Surgery seeks a microsurgery‑trained candidate at the Assistant Professor level to join our growing plastic surgery team at USF/Tampa General Hospital (TGH). Successful faculty candidates will be appointed in the USF Health Department of Plastic Surgery and provide care at one of the busiest hospitals in Florida.
Responsibilities- Clinical teaching and supervision of plastic surgery residents, medical students, and other learners.
- Complete clinical obligations such as chart completion, patient follow‑up, and finalizing billing.
- Manage patients in inpatient and outpatient settings, including outpatient care at the USF College of Medicine Medical Clinics and TGH sites.
- Physician eligible for licensure in the State of Florida.
- Completed a plastic surgery residency and a microsurgery‑focused fellowship.
- Doctoral degree from an accredited institution or the highest degree appropriate for the field of specialization with a demonstrated record of teaching, research, and service.
- Board‑certified or board‑eligible in Plastic Surgery (current requirements).
- Full unrestricted Florida Medical License; maintain credentials in the USF Health faculty practice plan and be a member of the medical staff in good standing at the hospitals where clinical duties are performed.
This position may be subject to a Level 1 or Level 2 criminal background check.
