About the Role:
We are looking for a passionate, patient, and creative Lead Teacher to join our team! At Pi Learning Academy, we serve a unique student population—including children on the autism spectrum, gifted learners, and twice-exceptional students.
Your goal will be to lead a small group, tailoring lessons to individual strengths and ensuring every child feels supported and inspired.
This is a part-time role with a consistent weekly schedule:
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM
(Wednesdays are reserved for our signature community field trips)
What You’ll DoPersonalized Instruction:
Deliver curriculum (FLVS, customized plans, or parent-provided) at each student’s unique pace.
STEM-Focused Learning:
Lead hands-on projects that make math, science, and art come alive.
Supportive Environment:
Use positive behavior strategies to help students navigate social and academic challenges.
Growth Tracking:
Maintain student portfolios to showcase progress and accomplishments.
Licensure:
Must be a licensed teacher in Hillsborough County.
Certification:
Valid Florida Teaching Certificate (ESE or Elementary Education preferred).
Experience:
Previous experience working with students with autism or gifted learners is highly preferred.
