Science Summer Camp Teacher Assistant (Seasonal)

Non-Exempt; $16.50/Hour

MOSI's Summer Science Camps aim to inspire curious minds through creativity, imagination, and hands-on learning. Camps cover a wide range of topics—from chemistry and robotics to space science—and take place in classroom, laboratory, and outdoor environments. Responsibilities
  • Supervise morning and afternoon extended care, as well as lunch periods.
  • Lead games and activities during extended care and lunchtime.
  • Assist instructors with hands-on science and technology activities.
  • Support overall camp operations with a friendly, can-do attitude.
  • Participate in mandatory training and orientation.
  • Work collaboratively with MOSI staff and outside partners.
  • Greet parents and campers in a friendly, energetic, and professional manner.
  • Demonstrate commitment to MOSI's mission and educational philosophy.
  • Shifts:

    Morning (7:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.) or Afternoon (11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.)
Qualifications
  • Monday–Friday availability throughout the summer.
  • Mature, dependable, and flexible with duties and scheduling.
  • Experience working with children.
  • Interest or background in science and/or technology.
  • First Aid, CPR, and Lifeguard training preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must pass a Level II Background Screening through the Department of Children & Families.
Dates, Hours, and Locations
  • Weekly camp programs run June 1 – August 7, 2026.
  • Mandatory Orientation:
    May 16, 2026.
